Jumping Off
I watched as the man plummeted from the
Top of the building, under the silent
Watch of the pensive full moon
His coat flapping furiously in the wind
He looked just like a leaf falling from a tree
I couldn’t see his face but I imagine he
Closed his eyes as he was
Swallowed by the silky darkness
Plunging into the depths of
Some other world.

This poem actually reminded me of a nightmare I once had. I was in this giant building, and I watched this guy jump and fall to his death. And then I was zoomed into the carnage, and everything. I woke up from that dream so nauseous, it was horrible.
Other than that, I really like these dream poems. They make me think.
Are they all dreams that you have or do you kind of just make these up?
That poem is spooky. I love it.
When you write poetry that is seemingly unrelated to your life, I'm always trying to guess the incident that inspired you. I think it would be interesting if you shared about what your poems mean in each post.
Wow, that's really good! Rather eerie, but in that epic way.
